Did you know that there are brands of radishes?

Hello!
WE ARE THE FARM Meguro!

Here is what we are introducing today!

Shogoin radish.

It is one of the traditional Kyoto vegetables and is a must during the winter in Kyoto!
It is said to have originated in the late Edo period when a benevolent farmer in Shogoin began growing long, large daikon radishes that had been dedicated to Koukai Komyoji Temple in Kurodani from the country of Owari.

As they continued to pick the shortest ones each year to collect seeds, they were bred into a round shape...

Shogoin daikon is designated as a "traditional Kyoto vegetable" and a "brand-name Kyoto vegetable!

You can meet them in the farm course or a la carte💫💫.

We look forward to seeing you at our store🍅.
