Introducing the June dinner menu at Meguro 🥬.
Hello! WE ARE THE FARM Meguro.
Here is the menu we are introducing today: 💁♀️
Young corn with herb butter🌽
This young corn is made from a variety called Shiromochi corn!
Shiromochi corn is a rare vegetable with grains that turn pure white as they grow and have a sticky texture. It is rarely distributed to the general public and is sometimes referred to as a "fantastic variety.
This corn is especially tasty during the young corn season, when it is the most delicious, tender, and packed with sweetness!
As the word "mochi" in the name suggests, it has a history of being ground into flour after harvest and used as a preserved food such as dumplings and baked rice cakes, and it has been popular for "rice cake-like" uses.
We serve young corn roasted with the skin on. You can even enjoy the bearded part!
Incidentally, it is said that the number of beards = the number of kernels because corn beards are connected to each kernel 🤭.
Young corn is only in season now!
Please try it during this season when Shiromochi corn is at its best!
We look forward to seeing you all this week: 🙇♀️
