Last Monday, the staff went to the fields!
Helping harvest winter melons and pumpkins in 37 degree temperatures. The staff, who had just joined the program and were new to going to the fields, also learned how hard it is to work in the fields in the summer.
I have been to the fields several times, and every time I go I realize how difficult it is to grow vegetables using organic farming methods and to have one organization handle everything from cultivation to marketing. Now that the climate changes so quickly, growing life is not an easy task.
By actually going to the fields, the staff members feel that their love for their respective vegetables has deepened. This kind of experience is one of the advantages of having a primary to tertiary industry. 🫶🏻
All of our hall staff participated, and we would be happy to talk to you about the fields, including the photos we each took when you visit us: ❤️🔥❤️🔥
We look forward to serving you! 🥬
