Meguro Store Field Repo!
After fighting with the carrots for about two hours, we toured each field!
Tomato field, eggplant field, okra field. 🍆
As I come here each month, I am amazed daily by the changing appearance of the fields and the vitality of the vegetables!
Tomatoes" are handled by the person who toured the field with us this time.
The field is now growing both for cooking and for fresh eating.
The slightly larger ones in the first picture are tomatoes for heating. They were tasty enough raw, but they seem to be tomatoes with low water content, so heating them seems to make them more flavorful and tasty!
Back at the restaurant, the evening's bribe was tomato pasta!
Basil is also grown in the field, so it is truly farm to go! It was so good I couldn't help but have a second helping 🍅.
The language of flowers for such tomatoes is "gratitude" and "beauty of perfection." Tomatoes are a crop that takes time and effort to grow. They must be grown from seeds and carefully watered and cared for. When the effort and perseverance of the tomatoes bear fruit, they are said to be named in the language of flowers because of the deepening sense of gratitude that is felt when the fruits of such efforts and perseverance bear fruit!
Tomatoes are also a vegetable rich in nutritional value, so much so that it is said that "when tomatoes are high, doctors turn pale" and "there are no stomach ailments in a house with tomatoes!
It is believed that the flower language of "gratitude" was derived from the various positive effects of eating tomatoes.
I too am "thankful" for life and will have it today! I hope you will, too! Why don't you feel summer with our vegetables?
We are looking forward to seeing you at our store this week🍅.
