Okinawan pure white bitter melon
As you can see, it is a pure white goya! 🫧
It is thick-fleshed and fresh, and has less bitterness than green goya, making it an easy-to-eat variety even for those who do not like goya and children.
At the Akasaka restaurant, it is served raw with an egg yolk sauce if desired 🥚.
Finally, here's a video of my recent trip to the field 🥕🍆🥒🌽.
Even in this daily heat wave, it was very cool and soothing inside the bitter melon arch 🌿.
Seeing the bitter gourd growing up so squashily, I once again felt the strength of the vegetable's life force. 💪🏻
Bitter melon will be finished by the end of September.
